Yōjin

I like to road-trip my Tesla and the Tesla Navigation works really well, but it’s not the same as Waze getting alerting you to construction, hazards on the road, and other reports. I typically run Waze on my phone while driving but it’s annoying to try to keep them in sync.

Yōjin is a simple app that connects your Tesla to Waze on your phone and pulls the next destination from the Tesla navigation and pushes it to Waze. We show a simple map on-screen so you can see a similar visualization to double check. You can also use Shortcuts to initiate the app or use a Shortcut action directly and do whatever you want with it.

What does the name Yōjin mean? Why did we name it that? The idea was that when you’re driving you need to be cautious and be aware of what’s coming ahead and Yōjin is a Japanese word that conveys that meaning.

Use Waze to identify construction, vehicles on the road, and more.

Private and Secure by design. You are always in control of your car data.

Road Trips with Waze just became easier.

Run Yōjin and automatically bring your Tesla Car Navigation’s next destination into Waze.

Periodically, Yōjin will check if the destination has changed and update Waze, though this depends on on how often you use Yōjin.

Shortcuts support gives you unlimited freedom.

Yōjin supports a shortcut action to get your Tesla’s next destination. You can use this action to integrate with Apple Maps or use it for any other custom solution you want to deliver.
